Dr. Carlos Sodi Duarte graduated from Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara (U. A. G.) obtaining his degree as an   M.D. (Medical Doctor) During the last 5 years Dr Sodi dedicated an enormous amount of time  studying emergency care in trauma, adults, and pediatric  patients, Dr Sodi is a provider of Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS,) Pediatric Advanced Cardiac Life Support (PALS) both certified by the American Heart Association, and American Academy of Pediatrics, also a Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) provider certified also by National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.

The Doctor did his internship at the Hospital General Del Estado De Sonora (HGES) in Hermosillo, Sonora, Mexico, the capital city of the state of Sonora, about 172 miles south of Nogales, and then he went to Moctezuma General Hospital, a small rural hospital where he practiced general medicine, all kind of emergency care, radiology, and critical patient care, preparation and transport of them to larger hospitals for specialized treatment and care.

Dr Sodi was born and raised in Nogales Sonora; he spent his senior high school year as an exchange student in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania, his English is first class. He has returned with his wife and they live just up the hill from his office.

Practice:

Dr Sodi’s office in Nogales is a small clinic that he shares with his father Dr Miguel S. Sodi  a trauma surgeon,  they are in the first office of Central Medica de Especialidades, (Center of Medical Specialties), Dr Sodi’s Office  is well suited for his practice because all supplemental lab testing few feet away  of his office door.

Basically the doctor is a general practitioner or family physician, who provides general care, treats acute and chronic illnesses, provides preventive care also takes care of hospitalized patients, minor surgery, pediatric, obstetric, also health education for all ages and gender, and guide patients to the best specialist if needed.

Rose (pictured to the left,) the doctor's assistant and receptionist is available to schedule your next visit. Unlike most US medical offices, the Sodi Clinic strives to meet the patient's appointment needs and patients have no or minimal waiting time. 

The clinic is about 1/2 mile from the border, a real easy, safe walk. Buses for 40 pesos (35 cents) or taxis for about $7 are available at the border,

Away from his Private Practice, Dr. Sodi works with emergency care units in ER and in preparing traumatized patients for transportation by fixed wing planes, helicopters or traditional ambulances for critical care.

During his limited time away from his patient care, Dr. Sodi is an avid outdoorsman enjoying hiking, rock climbing, repelling and in general, the scenic, great outdoors.
