Dr. Jorge Gomez Cortez, MD, graduated from the University of the Army and Air Force Military Medical School in Mexico City, Mexico with a Masters in Orthopedics and Traumatology. The doctor also has a diploma from UAG in Nutrition. Dr. Gomez served at the Military Hospital of Hermosillo, Sonora for 20 years and left as the Chief of the Orthopedics and Traumatology department. After serving in the military, the doctor opened his own private practice and is affiliated with the Children's Hospital Orthopedic unit in Hermosillo, Sonora. Dr. Gomez is an active member of FEMECOT (the Mexican Federation of Orthopaedics and Traumatology.) The organization provides a variety of seminars and courses that the doctor is able to continue his education and learn about the latest techniques and equipment developments. The doctor is also active in the Colegio Mexicano de Ortopedia y Traumatologia A.C. (CMO.) |

The doctor's surgeries are performed at a local hospital, Del Socorro, in Nogales.
