Dr. Jose Luis Espinoza, D.D.S, graduated from the
University of Ciudad Juarez with
his
degree in General Dentistry. The doctor then completed graduate studies
for his specialty in
Periodontics. Currently he is completing (December 2009) his Master
Degree in Oral Implantology at the Biomedical Sciences Institute in
Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. In addition, Dr. Espinoza is working his
qualifications as dentist in the United States. He has completed the
first of three phases of the National Board Dental Exam (NBDE) in the
University of San Diego California.
Dr Espinoza as a young man, decided to help people to get health
throughout oral health. As
a Doctor worried about his patients, Dr. Espinoza dedicate part of his
time to study the relationship with Periodontics disease and others
systemic diseases like for example Diabetes Mellitus, Heart Disease,
Premature Childbirths, and others. These studies have helped him
understand relationships and better serve his patients total health
care.
The doctor is always continuing his education and his knowledge of new
procedures and equipment to provide the best dental available through
Seminars and professional associations. Dr. Espinoza is

He has been offer his dental services since 2004 in his clinic, Dental

firstly with himself and then with others But races
are “TOUR OF TUCSON” in Tucson, Arizona; “CHUPACABRAS” in Ciudad
Juarez, Chihuahua; “12
HOURS TO SAFE LIFES” in San Carlos, Sonora, etc. These are extreme
races, some as long as 100 kilometers.
One of his dreams, after hours of hours on the road to San Diego, CA and Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, MX, is fly his own airplane. He is starting with flying model airplanes and soon to schedule flying lesson for real!

Espinoza and his staff perform a skillful and comprehensive
examination to evaluate your needs and then to explain the options

2008, is a bone graft regenerative process using the patient's own

When a patient is missing only one tooth, the single tooth replacement method may be used to replace the missing tooth using one implant and one crown. What
is Periodontal Disease?
Periodontal disease is an infection of the gums and/or bone that
surrounds the tooth. Generally the disease is painless, and most
patients are not aware they have a problem until examined by a
dentist.

With a healthy tooth, the root is set in the jawbone with a strong ligament, which keeps the tooth tightly attached to the bone. Gum covers the bone, and like skin, protects it from bacteria that are constantly present in the mouth. The gum connects to the neck of the tooth with a band of fibers, which insert just above the bone into the root. In a healthy situation, the gum edge is higher than the fiber attachment, forming a space around the tooth. This is similar to having a turtleneck sweater, and this sulcus should be 2-3 millimeters in depth.

In health,
there are two types of gum tissues that surround the tooth. The part
that is around the neck of the tooth is firmly attached to the tooth
and underlying bone, and is called attached
gingiva. The
attached gingiva is immovable and tough, and deflects food as it hits
the gum. Below the attached gingiva is looser gum, or alveolar mucosa.

This tissue contains muscle, and is flexible to allow movement of the cheeks and lips. The muscles in the alveolar mucosa are constantly contracting, which pulls on the bottom edge of the attached gingiva. However, normally the attached gingiva is wide and strong enough to act as a barrier, which prevents the gum from being pulled down (receding).
